Dear Gaux Girls,

Those first few hints of fall are in the air: The days are getting shorter, the nights perhaps a bit cooler. Though the start of a fresh season looks a bit different than years past, the promise of change is in the air. Maybe like us you're eking out all you can of these final weeks of summer and slipping in some time “away” (whatever that may mean). And maybe like us you're looking forward to what September will bring, whether it’s a fresh start, a new point of view, or favorite time of year.

Summers at Margaux HQ used to be tales of endless iced coffee; long, humid days on set shooting fall product; the adrenaline rush of our summer sample sales; the opening of pop-ups; the anticipation and promise of fall, and the new products, events, and milestones it would bring. As they have for so many, these last few months have looked quite different: Instead of gathering around our conference table, we gathered on Zoom. We snapped photos of samples and ferried packages from one place to the next instead of reviewing our collections in person. We connected with customers over FaceTime, and interviewed our Gaux Girls at a distanceWe dabbled in homemade iced coffee, trying to make it just like Haven’s Kitchen used to. We ran our annual sample sale, this time entirely online. But we never stopped dreaming—and we never slowed down.

With the arrival of The Flat Sandal, a vacation-inspired new staple, and The Mule, a riff on the sell-out style we designed with Julia Berolzheimer earlier this year, our summertime footwear paradigm shifted. Designed to deliver the comfort we needed right now and the effortless style we crave always, both styles became instant classics—and both are definitely here to stay. All the while, the gears were spinning for new fall styles and editions arriving soon from Spain. And the unifying theme is what, for us, it's always been: That style, confidence, and comfort go hand in hand. That has never felt more relevant than it does now.

We’re particularly proud, too, of the content we’ve released through our blog, #onthegaux, these last few months. From a series of stories and videos focused on the ins, outs, ups, and downs of confidence, to the the launch of a series showcasing brilliant BIPOC voices, we pushed beyond what we had traditionally covered to bring you stories and perspectives that were both inspiring and relevant in this season of change.

In the coming weeks and months, you’ll see so much more of what we’ve been working on come to life on our site, in your feed, and through our stories. We can’t wait to share it with you.
